The Salesians in Bulgaria celebrated the feast of St. John Bosko on February 1st in Kazanlak and February the 2. in Stara Zagora.
On February 1st, the solemn Liturgy was celebrated by Bishop Hristo Proykov. Diocese priests, sisters and friends from all over the country participated. The celebration continued with a fun program from the young people and children. They excited the guests of the day with plays, dances and songs. The new song “Don Bosko Teacher and Friend”, which the sister of Nadia Ruzhina recently translated into Bulgarian, was sung by the young people from Stara Zagora.
On February the 2., in Stara Zagora, Salesians celebrated with the parish people. Parents and children from district Lozenets and the youngsters from Kalitinovo village were also present.
After the Holy Liturgy, the young people and children from Kalitinovo and Stara Zagora entertained the attendees with dances, songs and plays. The songs “Don Bosko We Are Your Children” and “From Turin” became the hits of the day.
